ABOUT ME
WELCOME & CONGRATULATIONS
My name is Kristin and I live in Clarington, a region just east of Durham. By trade, I am a high school teacher, specifically a Guidance Counsellor. I stumbled upon my love for officiating when I was asked to officiate a good friend's wedding. I have always loved writing and in my sixteen years teaching, I have come to love public speaking. There is something special about guiding people through a shared, intimate moment that cannot be matched.
I am a humanist at heart. I believe in people's right to celebrate life's important moments in a way that touches them most. I support everyone's opportunity to find their own meaning and purpose in life. I reject all forms of prejudice and strive to support all people in their right to self-determination. I believe compassion and connection goes a long way and that, as humans, this should be our focus, not our differences.
